Changelog
What changed, newest first. Each entry links to the doc that explains it. Anything we deprecate is announced here first.
- Docs on their own address
The docs and this changelog are now at docs.shiftlabs.org. See Get started.
- Docs search
Search every docs page and the changelog from the box in the docs bar. See Get started.
- SDK reference
Every type and function a TypeScript workflow imports from
shiftlabs, generated from the SDK itself. See SDK reference. - Versioning
How
/v1changes, and how anything we remove is announced at least 90 days ahead. See Versioning. - Signed alert webhooks
Alert webhooks carry a
Shiftlabs-Signatureheader, failed posts are retried four times, andGET /v1/alertslists the last 20 attempts. See Alert webhooks. - Safe run retries
Run now takes an
Idempotency-Keyheader. A repeat within 24 hours returns the first run instead of starting another. See API. - Read audits
Reading a run's payload or a workflow's deployed source is written to the audit log, once per person and hour for each. See API.
- Scoped API keys
An API key can be narrowed to some of its role's capabilities and to named workflows. See API keys.
- Started by
Each run records what started it (a trigger, a re-run, the dashboard, the API or MCP) and who. Filter runs by it in the dashboard or with
?origin=. See API. - Rate limits
Per-workspace limits on API calls, run log and metrics reads, invitations and webhook deliveries. See Rate limits.
- Secret redaction
A readable secret's value is replaced by
[redacted]in logs, in a run's output and in errors. See Run context. - MCP server
MCP clients can list, deploy and run workflows at
https://api.shiftlabs.org/mcpwith an API key. See MCP. - Failure alerts
An email or a webhook when runs fail, and if you choose, when runs are refused at a limit. See Alert webhooks.
- 1,000 runs a day
The free tier includes 1,000 runs a day. See Pricing.
- Python workflows
Decorate one function with
@workflowand deploy it withcontent-type: text/x-python. A syntax or import error fails the deploy. See Workflows. - Python packages
List packages at the top of the file, the PEP 723 way. They're built once, when you deploy. See Python packages.
- Workflows in the dashboard
Write, deploy, run, roll back and delete workflows in the dashboard, and change a trigger's signing in place. See Deploy and triggers.
- Exact Retry-After
A run refused at the daily cap gets a
Retry-Afterwith the seconds until a slot frees. See Rate limits.
